Meili & John Ridenour

My youngest sister, Meili and her daughter, Madisyn, are coming to visit us for two weeks.
They are coming the day after our foster daughter,Kaylee goes back home to her mother,
so I still get to see the crib full for awhile Ü
I have not seen them since Christmas and am really looking forward to it.
Meili's husband John (USAF), just got orders to ITALY in February 2008 for three years!
I am getting all the pictures I can in two weeks !!

Bits and Pieces this week

Cousin Harmony had her tonsils taken out on Monday. She was really sore and her
Mom said she was not really eating. I decided to take over my Hawaiian Ice machine
and make her something she might be able to swallow.
It worked and her Mother decided to get juice in her that way
Harmony is doing well.

Harmony the night before her tonsils came out

Two days later.... Blue Rasberry Ice smiles Ü

I received word this week that Kaylee willing be leaving us to live back
with her family, on my birthday.
I am happy for them and truly hope its start of a new life.
She has been a joy in our lives !

Emily got very ill at the beginning of the week and it progressed as she neared her time to leave for New York. She was so upset because she could hardly swallow and one of the things she will be doing is a monologue in front of casting directors etc. She was to leave at 4 am Saturday. I packed for her and she tried to sleep a few hours. She left at 4:30 am and we received a message that they had delays, but made it there okay. She does not have cell phone charger, so we are waiting until the week begins to here from her. We know she will do her best and we hope she has a great experience. They are going to see the Statue of Liberty and I told her Mother expected some good pictures !

Kaylee turns ONE

We have been blessed to be a part of a little life for almost seven months now. Our foster daughter,Kaylee, just turned one in June. We have seen her grow so much in her time with us. She has so much personality and reminds us so much of Cody as a baby...yes, she can hit the high notes like he did Ü

She smiles and has this little dramatic laugh that is hysterical.
Her eyes squint shut and all those little teeth just pop right out from behind her lips.
She will be leaving us to go back to her mother and brother ( who we also had for three months) probably within a month.

We will miss her. She will always have a special place in our hearts.

HAPPY FOURTH !

Well, we had an eventful Fourth of July. Our Foster daughter ended up with a reaction to the chicken pox virus, that I did not know they included in her Booster shots Friday. She basically had a mild form of the chicken pox. I was told I should not take her out in the sun and consider her contagious. SO, that put a twist on our fourth of July plans a bit. I was glad I stayed here with her, as she was not well and it would have been hard . It looked like a beautiful day !

John, Emily and Cody went to Emmigrant Lake with cousins and families. They rode sea doos and the kids played in the water. Cody had serious anxiety over how "fast" Dad was going on the sea doo, so he wanted no part of it. He ended up really enjoying the tahiti boat and John said he did very well on it. Em got on the wakeboard and sea doos

Even though Mom made the sunblock lecture before they left...all three came back crisp!

We lit a few sparklers and some old firecrackers here at the house and opted out of the fair grounds crowd. Everyone was too tired and passing around the aloe vera gel every 15 minutes
